1. City Market (River Market)
Address: 20 E. 5th Street, Kansas City, MO
Hours: January – February: Saturdays, 9 am – 3 pm; March: Saturdays & Sundays, 9 am – 3 pm; April – October: Saturdays & Sundays, 8 am – 3 pm; November – December: Saturdays & Sundays, 9 am – 3 pm
City Market, located in the heart of the historic River Market district, is one of the largest and most enduring public farmers’ markets in the Midwest. With a diverse array of vendors, you’ll find everything from farm-fresh fruits and vegetables to international cuisine, handmade crafts, and beautiful flowers. It’s not just a market but a lively community gathering place where you can enjoy live music, food trucks, and special events throughout the year.
2. Overland Park Farmers’ Market
Address: 7950 Marty Street, Overland Park, KS
Hours: Saturdays: April 20 – September 28, 7:30 am – 1 pm and October 5 – November 23, 8 am – 12 pm; Wednesdays: June 5 – September 4, 7:30 am – 1 pm; Holiday Market: December 7, 8 am – 12 pm
Consistently voted as one of the top farmers’ markets in the area, the Overland Park Farmers’ Market is a must-visit. It offers a wide selection of locally grown produce, meats, dairy products, baked goods, and crafts. The market’s friendly atmosphere and community feel make it a favorite for families.
3. Brookside Farmers’ Market
Address: HJ’s Community Center, 6425 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO
Hours: April 13, 2024 – October 2024: Saturdays, 8 am – 1 pm
Brookside Farmers’ Market is dedicated to organic and sustainable farming practices. This market provides a cozy, neighborhood vibe with a strong emphasis on fresh, local, and organic produce. Situated at the Lenexa Civic Campus, the Lenexa Farmers’ Market offers a variety of products from over 30 vendors, including fresh produce, baked goods, meats, and homemade crafts. 5. Merriam Farmers’ Market

Hours: May 4 – September 28, Saturdays, 7 am – 1 pm
The charming Merriam Farmers’ Market, located in the quaint suburb of Merriam, offers a wonderful selection of farm-fresh produce, flowers, and handmade goods.
